ROTLICHT is an encounter between two artists who have each long found their own original voice and won multiple awards for their work.

What their works have in common is an immediate, sensual impact on our perception.

Their artistic exploration and collaboration produced a multi-part cross-genre performance that unites choreography, composition, live electronics and improvisation.

Henrietta Horn, long-term artistic director of the Folkwang Tanzstudio, has been working as a freelance choreographer, dancer and teacher since the end of 2008.

Dorothée Hahne is a composer, musician and publisher. She gives performances and concerts in museums, galleries and churches, creates instrumental and electronic compositions, film scores, poetry scores and audio drama projects.

On 5th August I play a little concert for deaf and hearing-impaired children from Murmansk, on the making of their “summer travel from castle to castle” of the KIT-Initiative Deutschland e.V., Vereins Murmansk e.V. & Förderkreis Kultur & Schlösser e.V. in the Bagno of Steinfurt. “Fine arts experiments” are performed with didgeridoo, trumpet, alphorn and live electronics.

Am 2. Juli 2011 gastiert das Blockflöten ensemble Trio aXoloT beim Traumzeit Festival in der Duisburger Kraftzentrale mit seinem Programm “Grenzklänge –  der Klang der Zeit”. Als Vorgeschmack sendet der Kulturspiegel eine Wiederholung der  Sendung vom Januar 2011 mit der Uraufführung des Programms in Münster:

Die 3 Musikerinnen, die sich während Ihres Studiums in Amsterdam kennenlernten, widmen sich seit 2007 als Ensemble der Aufführung von Alter als auch Neuer Musik. In enger Zusammenarbeit mit Komponisten und Komponistinnen sind seitdem mehrere Werke für die Triobesetzung entstanden. Zu Hören gibt es im Kulturspiegel Aufnahmen aus dem Repertoire des Trios als auch Livemitschnitte aus Ihrem neuen Konzertprogramm “Grenzklänge – der Klang der Zeit”, das am 21. DUNKELZELT – Konzert des Ensemble Xenon

Das Organische, das Objekthafte und das Zufällige – um diese Themen kreist das dritte Konzert des ensemble xenon im Studio Niculescu. Organisch ist das Instrumentarium in Markus Wettsteins bärenklau: das Stück wird ausschließlich auf Pflanzen gespielt. Organisch ist die Struktur von Dorothée Hahnes Dunkelzelt: ein Computerprogramm beeinflusst das musikalische Geschehen so, wie eine genetischer Code die Anordnung von Zellen. Womit die Ausführenden auf der Bühne das System füttern, ist von der Komponistin nicht vorbestimmt. Hier ist der Zufall im Spiel. Noch bevor John Cage systematisch mit dem Zufall zu arbeiten begann, behandelte er in den Sonatas and Interludes die Klänge wie Objekte, komplexe Gebilde, die unverändert immer wieder auftauchen.
